Painting Competition 2025

     The Directorate of Handlooms and the Idukki District Industries Centre jointly organized a drawing competition for 280 school children across L.P., U.P., and High School categories at Newman L.P. School in Idukki Town on Saturday, October 18, to promote handloom textiles, where winners received cash awards, all participants received certificates, a video on textile manufacturing and a subsequent quiz with prizes for parents were held, and the valedictory function, featuring the presentation of awards by Idukki Deputy Collector (RR) Smt. Suhra P., was presided over by District Industries Centre General Manager Smt. Lisiamma Samuel, with a welcome by Deputy Registrar Shri. Shibushine V.C., a keynote address by Newman L.P. School Headmistress Sister Ansy George, felicitation by various officials, and a vote of thanks by Junior Co-operative Inspector Smt. Shobhamol T.A.
