Pathanamthitta, June 27 – The District Industries Centre (DIC) of Pathanamthitta observed International MSME Day with a special event to celebrate the contributions of the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector. The function was held at the District Industries Centre.

A key highlight of the celebration was the felicitation of senior entrepreneurs and accomplished handicraft experts for their significant and long-standing contributions to the local industry. Those honoured during the ceremony included Abraham Kunjukutty, Philipose, Sunny, Gopakumar, and P.K. Vasu.

In addition to the ceremony, the DIC also organised a training session for local entrepreneurs. A class focusing on the crucial topic of Digital Marketing was conducted to help business owners adapt to modern market trends and expand their reach.

The event underscored the vital role of the MSME sector in the district's economy and the DIC's commitment to supporting its growth.

Pathanamthitta, June 24 – As part of the celebrations for the International MSME Day, the District Industries Centre (DIC) of Pathanamthitta organized a district-level MSME Quiz competition. The event was held on Tuesday, June 24, at St. Thomas College in Ranni.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation from across the district, with 21 teams, each consisting of two members, vying for the top honors.

The team of Arjav S Prasad and Nabil Badar, Plus Two students from P.H.S.S. Mezhuveli, secured the first prize. The second prize was won by Alan Jose and Sonu P. Johnson from Mar Gregorios College, Thiruvalla. Nanda Gopal and Henry Geo Reji of M.M.N.S.S. College, Konni, were awarded the third prize.

Mr. Anilkumar P.N, General Manager of the District Industries Centre, felicitated the winners and congratulated all the participants. Dr. Sneha Elsie Jacob, Principal of St. Thomas College, Ranni, and Assistant Professor Mr. Jikku James also addressed the gathering and extended their greetings.

The event was attended by various officials, including Taluk Industries Officers and Industries Extension Officers, marking a successful prelude to the MSME Day celebrations in the district.
